Rinku Singh has been the shining light for India in the ongoing game as he played another magnificent innings for his team. The batsman came in to bat when India were slipping at 55/3 and were under pressure.

Rinku Singh absorbed all the pressure and played some fantastic shots. He hit the pitch perfectly and once he got his eye on it, it was nothing short of exceptional. The left-hander continued his golden touch in T20Is and played another blind.

Rinku Singh smashed his first half-century for India as he took South Africa’s bowlers to the cleaners. He showed brilliant hitting skills during the last over. The proof of this is the glass in the stadium press box that he broke.

Rinku Singh smashed Aiden Markram for two consecutive sixes in the last two balls of the 19th ball. In the last installment, he went out and timed his habit perfectly, going over the screen and hitting the glass of the media box.

Rinku Singh was hitting an unbeaten 68 runs off 39 balls before rain stopped play. The batsman was batting at a strike rate of around 175 and also hit 9 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.

Batting great Sunil Gavaskar recently praised Rinku. Gavaskar touted him as the next Yuvraj Singh of Indian cricket and stated that people expect him to mirror Yuvraj’s impact. He explained:

“He is in the Indian team and there are immense expectations. People hope it reflects the impact of Yuvraj Singh: Rinku Singh becomes another Yuvraj Singh. If he can achieve even a small fraction of what Yuvraj did for Indian cricket, he will have achieved it remarkably.”

Rinku Singh has been exceptional for India in T20Is. He averages 82.67 with a strike rate of 183.70.
