Rinku Singh had to leave the field after suffering a knee injury during the third T20I between India and Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The incident took place in the first over of Bangladesh’s first innings. On the first ball of the over, Mayank Yadav dismissed Parvez Hossain Emon for a duck. And on the second ball of the over, Rinku Singh suffered the injury while fielding.

Mayank bowled a long delivery to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and the latter smashed the ball to the side. Rinku Singh then ran towards Square Leg to stop the ball, but ended up landing awkwardly on his knee as he made an effort to slide.

He appeared to be in pain immediately and was seen limping before ultimately deciding to leave the field. Commentator Murali Kartik confirmed that the batsman had left the field and was replaced by Tilak Varma.

Talking about the game, Team India thrashed Bangladesh by 133 runs to sweep the three-match series. Earlier in the series, India had won the first game by seven wickets before winning the second game by 86 runs.

Batting first, Team India scored 297/6, their highest-ever T20I total. India got off to a poor start as Abhishek Sharma departed for just 4 runs. However, Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav shared a 173-run stand for the second wicket to put India in the driving seat.

Samson shone with the bat for the hosts as he scored his first T20I century. After reaching fifty off 22 balls, the keeper-batsman completed his century in just 40 balls. He finally scored 111 runs off 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes.

On the other hand, Suryakumar scored 75 runs off 35 balls, including 8 fours and 5 sixes. Players like Hardik Pandya (47) and Riyan Parag (34) also played crucial knocks.

In response, Bangladesh finished their innings at 164/7. Towhid Hridoy was the visitors’ top scorer, scoring an unbeaten 63 runs off 42 balls. Litton Das also played a fine knock of 42 runs. For India, Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets while Mayank took 2 wickets.
