This hilarious yet heartwarming moment took place during India A’s first innings in the Duleep Trophy 2024 game against India B on Sunday, September 7. Notably, the Indian cricket team’s bowler could only manage one run in 14 balls before becoming Mukesh Kumar’s victim in Bengaluru.
As the Chinese bowler prepared to reach his crease, Rishabh Pant decided to add some fun to the moment. With a mischievous grin, the Indian wicketkeeper walked up to Kuldeep Yadav and gently prevented him from reaching his crease by playfully tugging at his helmet and pants.
This playful interruption was followed by a joke from Pant, who put a hand on Kuldeep’s shoulder. The banter between Pant and Kuldeep highlights the strong bond that unites them despite appearing as opposition players.

Talking about Pant’s performance in the first match of the Duleep Trophy 2024, the Indian wicket-keeper made 7 runs in the first innings but bounced back strongly in the second innings, scoring 61 runs in 47 balls against India A at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
On the other hand, Kuldeep bowled just three overs in the first innings and picked up one wicket for India A. The Indian wrist spinner is yet to open the account in the second innings against India B. Both are likely to be picked for the upcoming home Test series against Bangladesh.

Recently, Pant spoke about the changes in the Indian cricket team after Gautam Gambhir replaced Rahul Dravid as the head coach. Gambhir had a patchy start to his tenure, winning the T20I series in Sri Lanka but losing the ODI series.
