The decision to introduce Riyan Parag into the attack during the latter stages of the match against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in the ongoing T20I worked out for India captain Suryakumar Yadav. The Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele will host the first match of the series on Saturday (July 27).
Suryakumar Yadav trusted Riyan Parag in the final overs and the all-rounder made sure to repay his captain’s faith. The Rajasthan Royals player bowled a sensational 17th over and tilted the game in his team’s favour by bagging a crucial wicket for the team.
Riyan Parag removed Kamindu Mendis with a sensational ball. He bowled a slow ball which he took hold of and turned from a long distance. The Sri Lanka National Cricket Team batsman swung back and left room for a cut. He failed to connect and the stumps rattled.
What caught the attention of many was his aggressive celebration. Riyan Parag was extremely enthusiastic after taking the wicket as he let out a huge roar and gave an aggressive send-off to Kamindu Mendis.
