[WATCH] Rohit Sharma takes revenge on Mehidy Hasan Miraz by copying her celebration

Rohit Sharma’s tremendous competitive nature once again came to light.

The Indian team recently completed a 2-0 whitewash against Bangladesh in the two-match Test series.

While captain Rohit Sharma led his troops impeccably during the decisive second Test to force a result despite losing a lot of playing time due to bad weather, a recent video went viral showing his tremendous competitive nature that came to light during the competition.

During India’s first innings, Bangladesh spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz had outplayed Rohit by clearing his stumps and then celebrating by twisting his index finger.

It seemed like Rohit had held on to the disappointment and remembered Mehidy’s celebration when the Indian captain copied it when the Bangladeshi was dismissed in the next innings.

Rohit seemed to be in revenge mode and after Miraz returned the goal to goalkeeper Rishabh Pant, Rohit could be seen cheering Mehidy’s celebration.

India gains much-needed momentum with Bangladesh Test series win

The Men in Blue will gain a considerable amount of confidence and momentum from victory in the Bangladesh Test series, especially with a long line-up scheduled in the longest format. They showed incredible attacking intent, a mentality that will help the Rohit Sharma-led team in their upcoming challenges.

India is scheduled to host New Zealand for a three-match Test series, starting October 16, before flying to Australia for the much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).

Notably, India have won the last 4 BGTs and will be looking for a hat-trick of wins in Australia when they travel this time.
