Virat Kohli was also quick to support Sarfaraz’s decision.

During the ongoing second Test of IND vs NZ, India rookie Sarfaraz Khan forced Rohit Sharma to take a DRS against Kiwi batsman Will Young. Forced by Sarfaraz, Rohit relented and replays later showed a rebound. The incident occurred on the last ball of the 24th over.

Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a spinning delivery down the leg side, which Will Young tried to swing but seemed to miss, and the ball landed in the gloves of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Ashwin made a mild appeal but the umpire quickly dismissed it.

However, Sarfaraz Khan, situated at short leg, was convinced he had heard a noise and quickly approached captain Rohit Sharma, taking the initiative and urging a review. Virat Kohli was also quick to support the decision, and Rohit called for a review with just five seconds left. The decision proved correct, as UltraEdge detected a slight spike as the ball passed near Young’s glove.
