India batsman Sarfaraz Khan became the talk of the town during the ongoing day 2 of the ongoing fifth Test against England. The last match of the five-match series between the teams will be held at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
After Rohit Sharma (103) and Shubman Gill (110)’s massacre against the English bowlers, it was time for Sarfaraz Khan’s show. The right-hander came into bat after India lost both centurions and was under a bit of pressure. However, the Mumbai batsman absorbed all the pressure.
Sarfaraz Khan took his time and it was all defense until the moment he got ready. However, once in, he made sure to make England pay and put his team in the driver’s seat. The batsman got some quick runs as he crossed boundaries and entertained the crowd in a big way.
One of the highlights of their innings was the way Sarfaraz Khan tackled Mark Wood. The batter took the players to the cleaners and hit them all over the park. The pacer even dragged the batsman, but he seemed unfazed and continued batting with great concentration.
Sarfaraz Khan raced to his half-century and helped India take a lead of over 150 runs. But what caught the attention of many was his celebration after reaching fifty in the ongoing match against England at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
When Sarfaraz Khan completed a half-century, he raised his bat with joy and then blew a kiss to his wife, who was present in the stands. The entire crowd applauded his gesture and the video of the incident went viral on the Internet within a few minutes of the incident.

Sarfaraz Khan ensured that India also dominated the second session of Day 2. He, along with Devdutt Padikkal, who also made a brave half-century, put England on the back foot and made a mockery of their bowling attack. The duo added 97 runs together off 132 balls.
Sarfaraz Khan dies in the first ball of day 2 after tea
Sarfaraz Khan could not set the stage on fire in the last session of Day 2. He got out with the first ball after Tea and perished to Shoaib Bashir. The soft spinner bowled a soft delivery a little short outside off, to which the batsman attempted to play the late cut.
However, Sarfaraz Khan couldn’t get the spot right as he delivered a catch straight into the hands of Joe Root in a single slip. The length was a touch fuller than expected and the line was too close and the ball deflected before curving towards the right.
Sarfaraz Khan finished with 56 innings off 60 balls. He hit 8 boundaries and 1 six in his innings. This was his third fifty-plus score in Test cricket. He reached a half-century in both innings of his debut game in Rajkot. The batsman would be eager to convert his half-century into a ton in the next innings of the game.
