Pakistan national cricket team captain Shan Masood had a poor on-field performance which made his team lose the test match against Bangladesh national cricket team. The second match of the series between the teams is being held at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The second test match between Pakistan national cricket team and Bangladesh national cricket team is very evenly matched. Both teams have a good chance of winning the match and it is fair to say that the upcoming day 4 of the match will decide who will take the victory.
After Pakistan national cricket team was run out batting for 274 runs, they put up a sensational effort with the ball. Khurram Shahzad wreaked havoc on the entire batting line-up of Bangladesh national cricket team and took early wickets that left the opponent team reeling at 26/6.
Khurram Shahzad took 6 wickets in the game but was denied the seventh wicket, and this happened because of captain Shan Masood. The Pakistan captain had a sloppy performance on the field as he dropped the easiest catch to give a breather to Hasan Mahmud.
On the fourth ball of the 75th over, Khurram Shahzad bowled a good length delivery and it went towards the stumps. Hasan Mahmud got ahead of the delivery as he closed the face of the bat and got the front edge which bounced to the left of the cover where Shan Masood was stationed.
The ball went low and Shan Masood grabbed it with both hands before dropping it to the ground. He failed to catch it and left his teammates very disappointed. Pacers player Khurram Shahzad and Abrar Ahmed looked dejected as they could not believe what had happened.

Fortunately, that defeat did not cost Pakistan much as after that, they took wickets quickly and defeated the Bangladesh National Cricket Team by 262 runs. It was an astonishing effort on their part as they came close to the hosts’ score despite being 26/6.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz put on a combined 165 runs for the seventh wicket and ensured that the Bangladesh National Cricket Team got back into the game. While Das scored 138 runs, Mehidy Hasan Miraz finished with an innings of 78 runs.
However, in the second innings, Pakistan got off to a shaky start. They lost Abdullah Shafique and Khurram Shahzad. While in form, Saim Ayub is batting at 6*. At stumps on day 3, the hosts are 12 runs ahead of the opposition and will be hoping to put the big target on the board.
Captain Shan Masood would be keen to make an impact with the bat. The left-hander hit a half-century in the first innings and scored 57 runs. He would be hoping to maintain his good form and help the team win. If Pakistan loses the second game as well, Masood will have to wait longer to get his first win as Pakistan captain.
