Virat Kohli looks in great form in Perth Test
However, the atmosphere remained tense as everyone waited for confirmation of their well-being from the physiotherapist. Coming back to the stunning shot, Virat Kohli’s execution was nothing short of remarkable. The handsome right-hander is known for his classic drives and calculated aggression, but this time he decided to show his adaptability and finesse by playing an unusual uppercut. The timing was perfect, sending the ball up to six points in front of Mitchell Starc.

Meanwhile, Kohli is looking good and confident and it is a good sign for the Indian cricket team after their string of poor Test scores as they have a challenging task ahead of them. The former Indian captain is just 10 runs short of his fifty as the tourists took a 400-run lead against Australia in the opener of the ongoing five-match Test series in Perth.
However, the Australian team got some quick wickets before the tea break, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel on the cheap, but still the game is under the control of the Indian cricket team at the Optus stadium. Interestingly, the pitch has started playing tricks on the cracks, and spin may come into play, and if that happens, then things may be challenging for India as they have opted for a full-pace attack.
Sunil Gavaskar says he didn’t praise Jasprit Bumrah-Virat Kohli!!!
On the other hand, Sunil Gavaskar has threatened legal action against a website for publishing a fake article in his name during the India-Australia Test in Perth. The Cricket Ception site falsely claimed that Gavaskar praised the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli in a column titled “A new era in leadership: Bumrah’s captaincy and Kohli’s leadership revive Team India.”
Gavaskar said in his Instagram video: “Hello, I am Sunil Gavaskar and I want to say that there is a website Cricket Ception that has published an article under my name. I must say that is completely false; I have not contributed to that at all and I want to tell that website to remove it immediately. Issue an apology. If you do not do so immediately, I will hand the matter over to my legal team. So don’t believe a word you’ve read; “This is a completely false article and it is attributed to me.”
