India national cricket team batsman Virat Kohli came out to bat early in the ongoing third ODI against the Sri Lanka national cricket team. The series decider between the teams will be held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday (August 7).
After India restricted the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team to a total of 248 runs, they lost Shubman Gill early for just 6 runs. Virat Kohli came out to bat for the first time in the series in the powerplay, and the senior batsman got off to a shaky start against Asitha Fernando.
On the fifth ball of the fifth over, Asitha Fernando bowled a length ball towards which Virat Kohli walked forward and placed it towards the leg side. The ball took the front edge and was about to be caught by the back-stump fielder but the ball went towards the boundary.
In the next ball, Virat Kohli defended the length ball outside off. However, what caught the attention of many was the antics of the batsman and the bowler after that. The India batsman and bowler Asitha Fernando exchanged death glares with each other, which increased the intensity.
