Sarfaraz Khan to be dropped from India’s XI in Perth Test

There are reports that Sarfaraz Khan might not be included in the playing XI for the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Devdutt Padikkal could bat at number 3 in the absence of Shubman Gill, who is ruled out due to a thumb injury. Dhruv Jurel will play as a specialist batsman at number 6 in the lineup.

Sarfaraz had an impressive start to his Test career, scoring three half-centuries in his debut series against England earlier this year. He also smashed his first Test century in Bengaluru during the series opener against New Zealand.
