During a practice session at the slip cordon, a group of Indian players, including Sarfaraz Khan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel, were working on catching drills.

In a video that went viral on social media, Sarfaraz tried to trap him in a very unorthodox way. Virat Kohli burst out laughing, while Rishabh Pant was “stunned” by the funny incident.

Sarfaraz Khan to be dropped from India’s XI in Perth Test

There are reports that Sarfaraz Khan might not be included in the playing XI for the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Devdutt Padikkal could bat at number 3 in the absence of Shubman Gill, who is ruled out due to a thumb injury. Dhruv Jurel will play as a specialist batsman at number 6 in the lineup.

Sarfaraz had an impressive start to his Test career, scoring three half-centuries in his debut series against England earlier this year. He also smashed his first Test century in Bengaluru during the series opener against New Zealand.

However, his form dipped in the Pune and Mumbai matches where he was dismissed cheaply in all four innings. Meanwhile, Devdutt Padikkal scored 65 runs in his debut Test against England in Dharamsala earlier this year. He had an impact in India A’s unofficial test matches against Australia A.

Can Sarfaraz Khan not be considered at all? -Aakash Chopra

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra stated that the team has a responsibility to use the players it has chosen. The former cricketer emphasized that Sarfaraz deserves a fair chance to prove himself.

“Can Sarfaraz not be considered at all? Even if you and I have less confidence in him, it doesn’t matter what you, I or the team think of him. If you have taken him with you, it is your duty to try.” at least to him,” Chopra said.

“Without trying, you can’t tell anyone that you are not enjoying playing with him, especially a player who has been tried and tested. You played him and he scored 150. You played him against England before that and he scored runs. So after scoring races, You can’t tell anyone that there is an opportunity and a place, but you would play against someone else before him,” he added.
