But the introduction of Mayank Markande changed the course of the match. The first batsman died due to leg movement once again in his career and he began the long walk back to the pavilion.

The boys raised their hands and never gave up (in the chase) – Faf du Plessis

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis credited his team for giving their best with the bat. He believes they gave away 30-40 extra runs with the ball and admitted that they need to freshen up and have a positive mindset. In statements to the stations, he explained:

“The boys put their hands up and never gave up (in the run chase). It was good to see the fight, 30-40 runs from a bowling perspective was too much. It’s important to go away and refresh your mind. It’s a game Sometimes you feel like your mind is going to explode. When you come back to competition, you have to fully commit.”
