Watch: Virat Kohli hilariously mocks Bangladesh with snake pose during Test in Chennai

Virat Kohli did not have the best of outings with the bat in the ongoing first Test between India and Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It was his first Test match since the tour of South Africa earlier this year. The former India captain had skipped the entire five-match Test series against England at home to be with his pregnant wife. Playing his first Test match since January, the right-handed batsman found it difficult to get going.

In the first innings, he was out for just six runs. Virat Kohli’s fortunes did not change in the second innings either. While he got a chance to open, he could not take advantage of it and was out for 17 runs. And while the batting superstar failed to make a big impact with the bat in the Test, that did not stop him from showing his lively side on the field.

Virat Kohli has been in good spirits throughout the Test so far. He has not been shy about doing his usual antics on the field. And on one occasion, Virat Kohli also did the snake pose, apparently to mock the Bangladesh team.

For the uninitiated, the Bangladesh team is known for their celebration of the ‘Naagin dance’. Although Kohli’s pose did not resemble the ‘Naagin dance’, fans on social media believe that he was pranking the Bangladesh players with his snake pose.

Here is a clip showing Virat Kohli’s funny gesture:

India aims for a big win:

Team India will look to wrap up the ongoing IND vs BAN Test on the fourth day and register a big win in the series opener. Set a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh were at 158/4 at stumps on the third day. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (51) and Shakib Al Hasan (5) were unbeaten at the crease. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets while Jasprit Bumrah claimed the other.

Earlier in the day, India declared their second innings at 287/4. India were reeling at 67/3 at one stage but later bounced back thanks to brilliant tons from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill. Pant was bowled out for 109 runs while Gill remained unbeaten on 119. They also shared a 167-run stand for the fourth wicket.

In the first innings, knocks from Ashwin (113) and Ravindra Jadeja (86) helped India recover from 144/6 and score 376 runs. In reply, Bangladesh were bundled out for just 149 runs.
