Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma share a great bond with each other and have been the backbone of the Indian team for over a decade. They have given consistent performances for the Indian national cricket team across the world and are the reasons behind the Men in Blue’s dominance in cricket.
Together, the duo have had some of the most memorable partnerships with the bat and have annihilated the bowling unit of many international cricket teams. Recently, at an event, Kohli spoke about Rohit Sharma and said that she had seen Rohit’s journey and growth in cricket. Virat Kohli also stated that he never thought that he and Rohit would be the last senior members of the Indian team when their careers ended.

It’s a tough pill to swallow – Faf du Plessis after RCB’s loss against Mumbai Indians
At the post-match presentation ceremony, Faf du Plessis said losing the fifth game of the season was a difficult pill to swallow. He said:
“It’s a hard pill to swallow: combination of two things, a lot of humidity (dewy conditions), I need to somehow win some shots, secondly, they played very well, they put pressure on us and we made a lot of mistakes (especially during the game of power). We knew dew would be a factor, we might have needed to hit 250+, but they made 196 look a lot less. You know, when dew comes, you’re going to have to hit hard, the ball was very wet, they changed it several times and the players they had problems”.
Faf du Plessis admitted that they missed some key moments of the game which eventually became the reason behind their loss in the match. Faf du Plessis said:
“We also missed some key moments, we were going well when Patidar and I were in the middle with that partnership, but they recovered well.”
Faf du Plessis further said that Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) batting unit needs to contribute more as they only have limited weapons in the bowling department. Faf du Plessis said:
“We will have to find ways with the bat, get those big scores, we know our bowling is not our strong point but we will have to find ways to deal with it, we will have to be creative, go hard with the bat and make the most of it. the first 4-5 overs with the bat.”
