Virat Kohli’s illustrious T20I career ended in fairytale fashion as he shined with the bat to help India win the recently-concluded ICC T20 World Cup.

India, batting first against South Africa in the final in Barbados, were in a very difficult situation. They were down 34 in three overs and needed their former captain to come to the rescue. Virat Kohli did not disappoint and scored a fifty to bail India out of trouble.

Having managed to score just 75 runs in 7 games before the final, Virat Kohli scored 76 runs in the final, enabling India to post a competitive total of 176/7 in the allotted 20 overs. The scoreline turned out to be a winning one as India’s bowlers put up a stunning effort to restrict South Africa to 169/8.

The win not only ended India’s long wait for an ICC trophy but also helped Virat Kohli end his illustrious T20I career in a perfect manner. He managed to lay his hands on the T20 World Cup trophy for the first time. India’s only T20 World Cup win had come in 2007, a year before Virat Kohli made his debut in international cricket.

And while Virat Kohli has found it quite easy to deal with bowlers on the field, it seems the case is a little different when it comes to dealing with toasters. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the former India captain can be seen struggling with the toaster at the team hotel in Barbados.
