Sana Javed has become the talk of the town ever since news of her marriage to Pakistani cricket star Shoaib Malik emerged. On Saturday (January 20), the former Pakistan captain himself took to his social media accounts to share photos from the wedding ceremony.

Rumors that the two were dating had been circulating for quite some time before news of their marriage emerged. There were also rumors of separation between Shoaib Malik and tennis star Sania Mirza. Shoaib and Sania got married in 2010.

Who is Sana Javed?

Childhood and personal life:

Sana Javed was born on March 25, 1993 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Pakistani parents. Her family hails from Hyderabad. She studied at the Pakistan International School in Jeddah before moving to Karachi with her family. She completed her graduation from the University of Karachi. In October 2020 she married singer Umair Jaswal. In January 2024 she married cricket star Shoaib Malik.

Professional life:

Sana Javed began her career as a young model and appeared in television commercials before making a name for herself as an actress. The actress made her acting debut in 2012 with a supporting role in the series “Mera Pehla Pyar” and a small appearance in “Shehr-e-Zaat”. In 2016, she came into the limelight after playing the role of the antagonist in Hum TV’s romantic drama “Zara Yaad Kar” alongside Zahid Ahmed and Yumna Zaidi. After making a name for herself in television shows, Sana Javed finally made her film debut in 2017. Her first film is “Mehrunisa V Lub U”.

Awards and honours:

Sana Javed got the Lux Style Award nomination after playing the lead role in “Khaani”. She won the PISA Award for Best Actress by Critics for her portrayal of a rape survivor in “Ruswai.”
