Why did KL Rahul take the duties of Wicktkeeper in the middle of the ABISHEK POREL game for Delhi Capitals in the CSK VS DC IPL 2025 match?

Kl Rahul had kept wickts in the IPL previously.

The Captain of Delhi Capitals (DC), Axar Patel, took the steep choice to change the Wickt goalkeeper in the middle of the clash of the Premier League of India (IPL) 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepauk on Saturday. Abishek Porel changed the gloves and pads with the designated Gloveman Rahul designated from India.

The change of role took place after a drs wasted by Porel during the third party of Mitchell Starc. Vijay Shankar had a bit of bat in the ball when Axar was asked to take the review of Porel.

The beautiful Starc’s Swinger crashed into Shankar’s feet fingers and seemed to be heading to the average stump. Yorker’s landing could have perfectly pressed the case of Porel, but could not convince the captain to be for the reference.

When the big screen blinked, it was clear that it was the shoe first and hit below, since the DC players made a grimace.

That seemed to have stimulated DC’s decision to bring Rahul to keep the wickts due to their experience reading skills.

Rahul has proven to be a reliable source for DRS for India since the retirement of Mrs. Dhoni.

It is a common practice for the captains to ask the bowling player and then the goalkeeper a second opinion before appealing for the reference.

DC’s decision turned out to be one of those who changed the game because Rahul managed to take care of the field positions inside the circle, while Axar seized the field field locations according to bowling players.

Until the last ball, Rahul seemed to be co-channel with Axar, since DC restricted the CSK to 158/5 in 20 overs and won the game for 25 races. It was half of the margin with which Royal Bangalore challengers had won in Chepauk for the first time in 17 years, but DC is still the only undefeated side in addition to Punjab Kings who have played two games so far.

Rahul also starred in the bat, with its 77 of 51 balls by promoting DC to 183/6 in 20 overs.

The collective efforts of all bowling players: Mitchell Starc (1-27), Mikesh Kumar (1-36), Vipraj Nigam (2-27) and Kuldeep Yadav (1-30), made sure that Axar was playing only one.
