The Gujarat Titans will walk towards the field against Lucknow Super Giants in their penultimate clash of the India Premier League League stage (IPL) 2025 on Thursday.
It is part of an initiative that has been following their IPL 2023 for their last match in the League stage at home. The lavender color represents all kinds of cancer and GT players have put the color in solidarity of people who suffer from cancer and to spread awareness about early detection and prevention of potentially deadly disease.

In his debut in the IPL 2022 season, GT did not wear lavender shirts, since they had played all the games in Mumbai and Pune.
However, they managed to talk about the initiative in 2023 when they received Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Shubman Gill scored 53% of the total GT in that game when he hit 101 of 58 balls that included 13 limits and a six.

Sai Sudharsan was the only other batter with a two -digit score in that game with 47 of 36. GT finished 20 overs in 188/9, but it was enough for their rapid bowling players, since they restricted SRH to 154/9 to get a 34 -run victory. Yash Dayal claimed a wickt, while Mohammed Shami obtained 4-21 and Mohit Sharma said 4-28.
GT was supposed to play in Lavender Jerseys at IPL 2024 when they were SRH hosts for the second consecutive season, but the game was abandoned without a single ball due to heavy rains.

This year, GT will enter the final clash of the house since he already sealed the Playoffs qualification. Shubman Gill’s men defeated Delhi Capitals by a margin of 10 wickt that also sealed a Top-4 end for the kings of Bengaluru and Punjab. PBKs had defeated Rajasthan Royals for 10 races in the first game on Sunday.
Although Gujarat Titans will play against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in his last league game, he will not count as a game at home due to the reviewed schedule of IPL 2025.
The League resumed on May 17 after being suspended for a week due to tensions between India and Pakistan. The places for the remaining league games were rejigrated to Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Bengaluru.
