The former world champions England find the risk of losing direct qualification to the 2027 Male Cricket World Cup. They have had two disastrous tournaments of fifty and fifty against, and losing direct entry could be another minimum.
After an annual update of Odi’s classifications by the International Cricket Council (ICC), England fell to the eighth place with 84 points below Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan. England managed to win only three of 14 hate between May 4, 2024 and May 5, 2025. As a result, their automatic qualification possibilities have received a hard blow.
England at risk of falling into qualifiers for 2027 Male Cricket World Cup
The 2027 Male Cricket World Cup will have 14 teams in total. South Africa and Zimbabwe have already described themselves by virtue of being the coanfitations. Namibia is also organizing the event, but cannot get an automatic place, since they are not a complete member of the ICC.
In addition to South Africa and Zimbabwe, the eight best teams in the ICC Odi ranking will also have a direct place in the Crick World Cup. The deadline to block automatic rating places is March 31, 2027.
