Karu Nair will return to the Indian team after eight long years, after having played for the last time in 2017 during a series at home against Australia. The unconditional of domestic batting was appointed in the team of 18 members of India announced today for the next series of tests of five high profile games against England, as of June.
However, Nair’s inclusion has had the cost of another promising talent: Sarfaraz Khan.
Sarfaraz made his debut last year against England when they visited India and impressed, accumulating 200 races while averaging the 50, which included three half centuries. Against New Zealand later in the year, the 27 -year -old registered his single test. He also traveled to Australia for the Border Gavaskar trophy, but did not appear in any game and has now been removed for the tour of England.

On the other hand, Karun Nair has a previous experience of putting the Indian whites and has sought a tremendous form in the recent national season. Nair also has experience in playing the County Cricket that Sarfaraz no. In addition, the absence of Virat Kohli after his retirement inclined the most experienced scales.
Echoing the same line, the main selector Ajit Agarkar also justified the reason behind the decision to opt for Nair on Sarfaraz.
He said: “Sometimes you just have to make good decisions. Sarfaraz, I know he got a 100 in the first test and then they are not performed.
