Will Gautam Gambhir be absent from the Adelaide Test? A massive update is coming

Indian National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir will rejoin the team soon ahead of the second Test against the Australian National Cricket Team. As per ESPNCricinfo reports, it is learned that he has flown out of India and will join the team on Tuesday.

The head coach of the Indian national cricket team, Gautam Gambhir, after the first test against the Australian national cricket team, had to rush back home. The former team captain quit the team due to personal reasons and later also missed India’s warm-up match against Australia’s PM XI.

Gautam Gambhir flew back to India at the end of the first Test in Perth.

Gambhir flew back to India at the end of the first Test in Perth on November 25. He left on November 26 and was later reported to return when the second game began. With four days left for the second game, the coach will take charge of the team.

In his absence, Indian assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar, Ryan ten Doeschate and bowling coach Morne Morkel helped the players in training. They were also in charge during the warm-up match, which India won by six wickets and trained well with the pink ball.

Gambhir, with whom India lost the home test series against New Zealand, made a strong statement with his team by winning the first game against the Australian National Cricket Team. The Indian national cricket team dominated the first game and won by a margin of 295 runs.

With the second Test, which will be a pink-ball game, around the corner, Gambhir will have to make some tough decisions ahead of the game. Captain Rohit Sharma is back with the team after missing the first game due to the birth of his son, while Shubman Gill has also recovered from injury.

While Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will almost certainly return in place of Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel, the headache for Gautam Gambhir will be adjusting the batting order. The starting role is one of the hottest topics of the second test.

There are chances of Rohit Sharma batting in the middle order

Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul scored a first-wicket double century in India’s second innings in Perth, and upsetting them at the top would be a bold decision. There are chances that Rohit Sharma knocks him down and bats in the middle order at No. 5 and Gill regains his No. 3 spot.

Gautam Gambhir will have to play a crucial role in deciding how the batting order goes. Going by the indication of the practice match, it seems that Rohit Sharma would bat in the middle order as KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings.
