Since the last few days, there have been rumors suggesting that the Pakistan Cricket Board will shift the third Test of the series out of Rawalpindi. The country’s venues are under renovation ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held at three venues in Pakistan.

Since the last series, venues have been a big concern. The Pakistan Cricket Board continually changes venues for games. This is because they are making sure everything is in place before the Champions Trophy and, as such, stadium renovations are progressing at a rapid pace.

There was also a lot of commotion around the venues of the England series. The PCB also delayed the announcement of the schedule due to venues. In this event, England’s crackpot army lashed out at the PCB for delaying the process.

Coming into the test series between the hosts and England, the hosts are 1-0 down in the series. They faced a crushing one-innings, 47-run defeat in the first Test. It was a horrible outing for them as even after registering a total of over 550 runs, they faced a huge defeat.

Pakistan makes massive changes to its squad

After that, the Shan Masood-led side has made massive changes to their setup. They released big names from the team as players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Sarfaraz Ahmed were dropped from the team. The Cricket Board included new faces in the setup.

The hosts also named their playing XI for the first Test against the England National Cricket Team. Kamran Ghulam will make his debut for the team and will bat at number 4 in place of Babar Azam. Additionally, they have named three spinners: Noman Ali, Sajid Khan and Zahid Mahmood.

England, on the other hand, will be very confident. They would be reinforced with the inclusion of Ben Stokes. The captain missed the first match due to a hamstring injury and has now returned to the team for the second match, which will be played from October 15.
