Will the injured Matheesha Pathira play the CSK vs RCB IPL 2025 Clash in Chepauk? Chief coach Stephen Fleming reveals

The first CSK game against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday was lost.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will receive Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for India Premier League (IPL) 2025 on March 28 in Chepauk. But, the local team can return to take the field without the services of its key marker Matheesha Pathirana. According to CSK chief coach, Stephen Fleming, Pathirana has been slowly progressing. However, it would be difficult to count on the yellow shirt tomorrow.

According to the first reports, it is believed that Pathirana suffered a minor injury while changing his bowling action. However, an official statement is pending of the franchise. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has not yet talked about this matter.

Upon arriving at the South Derby, coach Fleming mentioned that CSK will use the same XI against RCB. Nathan Ellis will have another opportunity in the XI game. The Australian pacemaker appeared in the CSK opening clash also against the Mumbai Indians (MI) last weekend.

Despite the absence of Matheesha Pathirana, the Super Kings began their campaign with a winning note. Playing in a classic, CSK put me to hit first in Chepauk. The Mumbai Indians, led by Suryakumar Yadav, published a 155/9 sub-part.

Blue men saw another batting order collapse. The opener and former captain Rohit Sharma departed in four balls without scoring any race. While Ryan Rickelton (13) and Will Jacks (13) obtained some impulse, could not play a longer entry. On 26 SKY 29 was not impressive, while the Tilak Varma SUV was the top scorer with 31 races. Deepak Chahaha contributed 28 races since the end of the tail of the entries.

Noor Ahmad, playing his first CSK game, returned with four wickts, while Khaleel Ahmed got a three wickt tour. Nathan Ellis and Ravichandran Ashwin also collected a wickt each.

The Chepauk deck supported the spinners when the ball seized and turned. It is expected to behave in the same way and also provide early assistance in the next meeting.

After a victory in the inaugural season in 2008, RCB has not yet defeated CSK in Chepauk. The side led by Rajat Patidar will hope to update the statistics on March 28.
