After an impressive performance in the third Test match against England, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal rose in the latest ICC ODI rankings released on February 21. Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal secured a position in the top 20 rankings in red-ball cricket.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his second consecutive century in the ongoing five-match home series against England. Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 214 runs off 236 balls, including 14 boundaries and 12 sixes. India registered a 434-run victory, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal enters top 20 in ICC men’s Test batsmen rankings

Yashasvi Jaiswal has risen 14 places to reach 15th position in the latest rankings. She achieved a career-best ranking of 699 points. Despite not playing in the series, Virat Kohli remains the only Indian in the top 10 of the batting charts, ranking at seventh place.

After scoring a century in the first innings, Rohit Sharma moved up to 12th position, while Shubman Gill moved up three places to 35th. Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel have entered the rankings, occupying the 75th and 100th positions respectively.

Kane Williamson solidified his leading position in the batting rankings by scoring a century in his seventh consecutive Test. David Bedingham of South Africa advanced to 50th position in the rankings. Ben Duckett has jumped 12 places to 13th position.

Ravindra Jadeja scores career-high in Tests

Ravindra Jadeja’s outstanding performance in the match propelled him to 34th position among batsmen and sixth position in the bowling rankings. Furthermore, Jadeja reinforced his first position in the all-rounder ranking, achieving a career-high 469 rating points.

Jadeja scored 112 runs off 225 balls in the first innings in Rajkot. He added an impressive partnership of 204 runs to rescue the team. He also managed a five-wicket haul in the second Test. He earned him the Man of the Match award for his all-round performance.

New Zealand fast bowler William O’Rourke entered the rankings at 61st position after an impressive debut performance. O’Rourke was named Player of the Match for his nine wickets. The Kiwis achieved their first victory in a test series against South Africa.

Pathum Nissanka secures 11th spot in ICC Men’s ODI batsman rankings

Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka rose from 18th to 11th position in the men’s ODI rankings after his match-winning century against Afghanistan. Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai has improved to 48th place in the men’s ODI batting charts.

Aasif Sheikh (77th) of Nepal and Bas de Leede (96th) of the Netherlands have moved up the batting rankings in ODI cricket, while Bernard Sholtz (17th) of Namibia, Lalit Rajbanshi (54th .th) and Sompal Kami (76th) of Nepal has progressed in the bowling rankings.

Following Sri Lanka’s victories in the first two T20Is against Afghanistan, Wanindu Hasaranga has risen to the second position in both the bowling and all-rounder rankings in the men’s T20I category. Ibrahim Zadran has moved up eight places to 21st in the batting rankings, while Fazalhaq Farooqi has moved up five places to eighth in the bowling rankings.
