Afghanistan will face South Africa in the first semi-final in Trinidad on June 27. The match starts at 6 am IST, which is 8:30 pm local time.

Afghanistan reached the Super 8 for the first time in a T20 World Cup and from there to the semifinals. So far they have defeated teams like New Zealand and Australia and eliminated them from the tournament.

Gurbaz will open the batting for Afghanistan. So far, he has scored 281 runs in seven matches at an average of 40.1. He will be key for his team with the bat.

Ibrahim Zadran

The right-hander will open with Gurbaz. He has been another key figure in Afghanistan’s batting line-up. So far he has 229 runs in the tournament.

Azmatullah Omarzai

Omarzai, the all-rounder, will occupy position three. Until now he has played the role with bat and ball for his team. He swings the ball forward and is a good cricket batsman.
