Former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has been included in Mumbai’s under-19 squad for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.

Arjun named in Mumbai team for Vinoo Mankad Trophy

However, Arjun Tendulkar will be playing under the leadership of Vedant Murkar in the tournament as the team will begin their campaign against Gujarat on October 6, 2018. Meanwhile, the left-arm pacer bagged three wickets in the two-match series against Sri Lanka in the Under-19 Tests this July.

Furthermore, Arjun Tendulkar was not included in the One-Day Series and will also miss the U19 Junior World Cup in 2020. However, the all-rounder did not find a place in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup. Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar finds a golden opportunity in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.

There could be a chance of getting a place in the senior team if he performs well in the competition. Earlier, his name was not included in the Mumbai senior squad for the off-season camp.

The state association added seven more names, but Arjun did not make the cut. However, Arjun Tendulkar has a big burden to shoulder and he should look forward to it like any other tournament. He must also concentrate on the game and do his best to do his best.
