Yuzvendra Chahal was embarrassed when his Punjab Kings teammates couldn’t resist mentioning the ongoing Instagram DM episode involving actress-model Taniya Chatterjee. Now, a video of this prank has gone viral on social media platforms.

During a recent PBKS video shoot, the players were having fun inside the team bus, but one moment quickly caught everyone’s attention. The clip features Arshdeep Singh, known for entertaining fans with his funny videos on social media, making a funny joke on Chahal.

While holding a microphone during a team shot, the PBKS fast bowler mentioned the word ‘cute’ in a cheeky manner, clearly hinting at the recent Chahal-Taniya controversy. The moment he said it, the entire group, including young players Musheer Khan and Priyansh Arya, burst into laughter.

In the viral clip, Arshdeep repeatedly said, “Cute se yaad aaya” while looking at Chahal, who walked away embarrassed, but handled the trolling brilliantly while having fun with young batsman Priyansh Arya at the time. But the spinner’s reaction clearly showed how he felt.

This mockery comes at a time when the controversy has become a serious matter. The issue started when Taniya Chatterjee, actress and influencer, shared a screenshot, claiming that Yuzvendra Chahal had replied to her Instagram story with a “cute” message.

The clip went viral on social media and sparked strong reactions from fans. As the situation escalated, things took a legal turn. Chahal is said to have filed a defamation case, saying the video was shared without full context and damaged his image.

On the other hand, Taniya also reacted strongly, saying that she was surprised by how her little act drew attention and felt like she was being unfairly attacked.

Talking about Punjab Kings, they are currently the only unbeaten team in the ongoing IPL 2026 with four wins in a row, with one game lost against KKR. PBKS is currently leading the points table and is preparing to face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 in Chandigarh.
