For Jitesh, this is yet another chance to impress the selectors to get into the Indian cricket team after being passed over for the T20I series. He has played for Punjab Kings in the IPL and has impressed the selectors to be included in the Asian games squad.

He talked about Ruturaj Gaikwad and his potential as captain in the upcoming tournament. Gaikwad has been playing for CSK under the captaincy of MS Dhoni and Sharma believes that MSD will influence him and apply some of the learning from him.
“He is a calm and controlled person. He has been playing for Chennai (Super Kings), so he must have a better idea. And I think he will be a good leader because MS Dhoni ki chhatrochhaya mein reh chuka hai wo(he has been under MS Dhoni). So, he must be having a good idea about the captaincy. Jitesh said.

He also talked about what he is like as a person and as a cricketer. He said the CSK batsman is calm and collected, which should help give him clarity in the captaincy.
“Whenever I have played against him, I have found him very calm and controlled. So, it is a very good sign for a good captain because if he is calm then he can think clearly. He would have clarity on what to do and when to do it. So I think it will be a great experience to play under him.” Jitesh concluded by saying.
