The much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy begins on Friday, November 22 at Perth’s Optus Stadium. On the bowling side, the Australian trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, along with their main spinner Nathan Lyon, are ready to exploit India’s weaknesses and set the tone early in the series.

Both teams are ranked first (Australia) and second (India) in the ICC World Test Championship points table, with India needing to win at least four of the five matches to secure a place in the WTC final in Lord’s in June 2025.
