The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has included Indian pacer Chetan Sakariya in the list of suspicious bowling actions ahead of the next Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction 2024, according to Cricbuzz. The event will take place at Coca-Cola Arena on December 19 in Dubai.
Chetan Sakariya, who was released by Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2024, has not been suspended for his bowling but could be under threat. The BCCI has informed all franchises before the auction about the development of fast bowlers.
Chetan Sakariya, however, is not the only pacer who is on the list of suspicious actions. Along with him, seven other players have been identified with an incorrect bowling action. The seven players are Tanush Kotian of Mumbai Cricket Association, Rohan Kunnummal of Kerala Cricket Association, Chirag Gandhi of Gujarat Cricket Association, Salman Nizar of Kerala Cricket Association, Saurabh Dubey of Cricket Association Vidarbha Cricket and Arpit Guleria of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. .
Apart from them, the BCCI has banned Manish Pandey and KL Shrijith of the Karnataka State Cricket Association from bowling. The governing body is also expected to soon inform franchises about the availability of foreign players for IPL 2024. This is because with the T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner, players may not participate or leave the tournament halfway.
A total of 333 cricketers will be auctioned in the IPL 2024 auction. Of the 333 players, 214 are from India and 119 are foreigners, including two from partner countries. 116 international players are on the list and 215 non-international, apart from this there are two players from associated nations.
