RCB bowlers dominate LSG batsmen in Chinnaswamy return
Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to play at his home ground at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Patidar’s decision paid off for the Royal Challengers as it looked like a difficult pitch to overcome.
The ball stayed on the surface and the RCB players showed remarkable precision in all phases of the game. Josh Hazlewood bowled a very economical spell while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam gave them the crucial breakthrough.
Krunal Pandya controlled the middle overs with the two crucial wickets and his economical overs. LSG’s batsmen finished with a score of 146, the lowest for any team that has played their full quota of 20 overs in this IPL season.

However, they helped them excel in the innings as Patidar scored 27 off just 13 balls while Jitesh added 23 runs off just 9 balls. Finally, David and Shepherd helped them chase the target with ease, reaching it with 29 balls remaining. They have now reached the top of the IPL 2026 points table.
It’s T20 cricket. It’s a difficult match: Nicholas Pooran points out the reason behind his team’s problems
Nicholas Pooran admitted that the team struggled with the bat and was restricted to a low total. He said, “It’s been a tough season for us; we’ve been subpar with the bat. 175 would have been competitive. But it’s no secret that we’ve been struggling with the bat all season, and today we paid the price.”
“It is T20 cricket. It is a difficult game. It is also difficult to maintain consistency. But the boys have been working very hard and we are ready for them. We will try to fight as well. And I think it is a matter of time. Just be patient, be ready for the opportunity and grab the opportunity in the team,” Nicholas Pooran added.
Pooran also opined that he is hitting the ball well; However, things haven’t gone the way he wanted, which has been a bit unfortunate for them. “I feel very good and I hit the ball very well. Unfortunately, this time I haven’t done well in the tournament. But that’s happened before. I’ve been in this position before; I know how to fight. And I think I’ll get out of this,” he concluded.
