The England national cricket team has appointed Brendon McCullum as the team’s head coach across all formats. The former New Zealand captain, who was the head coach of the red-ball team, has also taken up the role of white-ball coach.

The England national cricket team has been in need of a white-ball coach ever since Matthew Mott quit the job after the 2024 T20 World Cup. Several names like Kumar Sangakkara and Rahul Dravid were being bandied about for the post.

But in a major development, Brendon McCullum has been handed the job. The former New Zealand captain, who has been with the team since 2022, has been handed an extended contract. until the end of 2027.
