Crack in ME? Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah leave team trip amid IPL 2026 chaos

Rumors of a possible internal rift at Mumbai Indians (MI) have increased after Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma skipped the team’s scheduled travel plans. Viral posts on social media showed both players leaving the Mumbai airport for Chennai separately, sparking an argument during a difficult IPL season for the team.

Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, are struggling in the tournament. They currently sit in ninth place in the 10-team points table. With six losses in eight games, the team now faces a must-win scenario and will likely need six consecutive wins to reach the 16-point mark required for playoff qualification.

Rohit Sharma remains a doubt for the upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to a right hamstring strain he suffered against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Before retiring injured after scoring 19 runs, he scored 137 runs at an average of 45.67 and a strike rate of 165.06 in four matches.

He scored 78 against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), added 35 against Delhi Capitals (DC) and scored 5 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) before getting injured against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 12.
