Delhi Capitals qualification scenario for IPL 2024 playoffs
Delhi Capitals have played all their matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have done what was in their power and now they only have to wait. In the 14 games they have 7 wins and 7 losses and have a negative NRR of -0.377 and are 5th in the points table.
To qualify for the playoffs, the Delhi Capitals need some results to go their way. Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals have secured the top 4 spot. Therefore, there are only two places up for grabs and mathematically 5 teams are in contention.
For Delhi Capitals to qualify, they would need Sunrisers Hyderabad to lose the remaining two games by at least 100 runs. After that, they would need Royal Challengers Bengaluru to beat Chennai Super Kings. This would help them surpass SRH in NRR and grab a playoff spot. Their chances seem very slim, but the way things have been happening, anything can happen in the league.
