Rasikh Salam, on Tuesday (May 7), castled Riyan Parag with a beauty to give Delhi Capitals a much-needed breakthrough in their ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Chasing 222 runs, the Royals were advancing at 103 for 2 in the 11th over with captain Sanju Samson and Parag well prepared. Parag joined Samson in the middle in the sixth over when Axar Patel dismissed Jos Buttler to reduce RR to 67 for 2.

Samson and Parag then took the score past the 100-run mark. Parag started positively and raced to 27 runs with the help of a four and three sixes before Rasikh Dar Salam sent him back in the 11th over. On the last ball of the over, the right-arm bowler edged the Royals star with a slower delivery.

It was a slower back-of-hand delivery that managed to beat the swing of Parag’s bat before hitting the top of the stump. Parag attempted a shot but played a little early when the slower ball went past his bat and hit the top of the stump.
