Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk went wild with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The 35th match of the tournament between the teams will be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Jake Fraser-McGurk, who came into bat at number 3, made sure to set the stage on fire in the ongoing game against SRH. The young Australian batsman came out early and made sure to make up for the loss of two wickets for his team at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Jake Fraser-McGurk showed no mercy to Washington Sundar as the over-spinner allowed him to set the temperature and start his innings. The Australian batsman made the SRH spinner dance to his beat as he hit the bowler for 30 runs in the over to keep his team in the hunt as they chased down 267.
Jake Fraser-McGurk started the over with four in the middle and then made sure to follow it up with another boundary off the next ball. He sliced the short ball straight and wide of midfield for consecutive boundaries.
In the third ball, Jake Fraser-McGurk bowled Washington Sundar for a big six. The batsman got under the ball and lofted it over the cover zone to hit it with a full-on maximum at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Jake Fraser-McGurk drilled the fourth ball of the over for a boundary. The spinner dragged the length back until the batsman punched it through cover. The Australian batsman then made sure to finish the over on a high at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Jake Fraser-McGurk hit two consecutive sixes in the last two balls of the over against Washington Sundar. On the fifth ball, he backed away and hit the shot at mid-on as the ball went over the ropes to hit the maximum.

Jake Fraser-McGurk completes his second IPL fifty
After hitting Washington Sundar for a big six, Jake Fraser-McGurk made sure to do more carnage with the bat and went on to make his second half-century in the Indian Premier League. He reached the mark in just 15 balls and came with a six.
However, he couldn’t go big as Mayank Markande ended his stay in the area. The batsman tried to hit another six but got a top edge and was caught by wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen. He finished with an innings of 65 runs in just 18 balls and also hit 5 fourths and 7 sixes in his innings. He made sure his team got off to a brutal start in the chase.
