Chennai Super Kings stars Deepak Chahar and Matheesha Pathirana reacted as Ambati Rayudu made inquiries about Royal Challengers Bengaluru after their exit from the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 season.

Less than a week after eliminating CSK from IPL 2024, RCB also exited the competition after failing to beat Rajasthan Royals in the tie at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the Bengaluru-based team put up a fighting performance, their efforts were not enough to win a seventh consecutive game.

After being asked to bat first, RCB posted 172/8 in the allotted 20 overs and none of their batsmen managed to score a fifty. In reply, RR recovered from 86 for 3 to reach the total in 19 overs. A day after the match, Ambati Rayudu decided to troll RCB for their failure to win the title.

On Thursday (May 22), the former CSK batsman took to Instagram to post a video of CSK players celebrating their fifth IPL title last year. Rayudu was also part of the team that won the title last year. He posted the video with the caption: “Sometimes a gentle reminder is needed.”

Many believe that Rayudu’s post is a reaction to RCB’s extravagant celebration after beating CSK last week. And Deepak Chahar and Matheesha Pathirana’s reaction has all but confirmed that CSK were not happy with the way RCB celebrated the win.

CSK stars reacted to Rayudu’s post by posting emojis in the comments section. While Chahar posted a greeting emoji, Pathirana posted a couple of laughing emojis followed by a yellow heart.

Ambati Rayudu criticizes RCB:

Even after the loss against RR on Wednesday, Ambati Rayudu criticized RCB by criticizing their celebration. The former India batsman said that only passion and celebration are not enough to win a trophy while he analyzed RCB’s celebration after the win over CSK.

“If you talk about RCB, it shows that just passion and celebration don’t win you trophies. You don’t get the IPL trophy just by making the playoffs. Don’t think you will win the trophy just by beating CSK.” Rayudu said.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad and RR will face each other in the second qualifier for a place in the final. The winner will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the title final on Sunday (May 22).
