Royals captain David Miller, after the victory, spoke first in the post-match presentation about his calf injury that caused him to retire injured.

“Very happy, great performance everywhere. We started flying and it was great to see J Roy score some runs, get back to his best, and then the pitchers finished it off. Being a day game, we wanted to bat first and get a total on the board. In T20 it is difficult to be consistent all the time, you get one or two losses. Today two guys contributed and in previous games we all contributed, the players have done well throughout,” Miller said of the overall victory.
