RCB all-rounder Krunal Pandya has questioned Dinesh Karthik for ignoring the bowlers’ footage despite his outstanding spell, which played a crucial role in RCB’s big win against MI at the Wankhede Stadium.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the defending champions in this season of the IPL and are currently at the third position in the IPL points table. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians failed to win their first matches despite putting up good numbers at the top.
So far, RCB have managed to win three of their four matches and are at the third position in the points table, while MI have fallen to the eighth position.
Krunal Pandya reacts as Dinesh Karthik skips footage of RCB bowlers in post-match winning stand
Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya has played a crucial role for Royal Challengers Bengaluru since the last IPL season. He has also played a crucial role this season, especially with the ball.
After their latest win against Mumbai Indians, Dinesh Karthik, the RCB mentor, posted the photos from the match in his post-match celebratory post on social media. However, he did not upload a photo of any of the bowling moments.
“Taking 3 points home ❤️🔥,” Dinesh Karthik captioned the post, with images of captain Rajat Patidar, an animated image of a salt dispenser, indicating Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Tim David and one of a group of RCB players, without mentioning Pandya or any other bowler.
Krunal Pandya, RCB’s den spinner, claimed that this was unfair to the players while making the statement online through his comments on Dinesh Karthik’s Instagram post. “Brother, is there no bowlers’ stall?” Pandya questioned.
Krunal Pandya and Suryash Sharma made crucial breakthroughs for RCB
RCB won the game and the spinners played a crucial role as they gave the team the first breakthroughs. Suyash Sharma picked the wickets of Ryan Rickelton, who was looking good at the top of MI’s batting order.
The South African left-handed batsman was dismissed on the first ball by the RCB player, who bowled the ball up. Tilak Varma, the other left-hander, was dismissed after two balls in the same over.
Lastly, Krunal Pandya strengthened RCB’s control over the game with the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav. He broke the third-wicket partnership between Suryakumar and Hardik Pandya that brought MI back into the game. He ended his economical spell, giving away just 26 runs and taking one wicket.
RCB batsmen wreak havoc at Wankhede Stadium, unlike MI’s inconsistent show
Under Dinesh Karthik, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have had spectacular seasons. RCB’s opening duo of Virat Kohli and Phil Salt wreaked havoc at the Wankhede as Salt delivered a stunning knock, heralding his return to form.
Salt also received the player of the match award for his innings of 78 runs off just 36 balls. Rajat Patidar, the captain, and Virat Kohli also scored half-centuries. The captain had set the tone for a big score before Tim David gave the perfect end to his innings.
Mumbai batsmen could not get off to a very promising start to chase a target as big as 240; however, the short innings of Pandya, Suryakumar and Rickelton built the foundation on which Sherfane Rutherford attempted to flex his muscles strongly in RCB’s bowling unit. However, the carnage began long after MI lost control of the game and they ended up losing the game by 18 runs.
