Baba Indrajith calls Vaibhav Sooryavanshi a ‘once in a generation’ talent
Now everyone has become a fan of this young talent, and now Baba Indrajith has joined the long list. The Tamil Nadu batsman has admitted that Sooryavanshi is a rare, once-in-a-generation talent and he really enjoys watching his bat.
But at the same time, Baba Indrajith believes bowlers should try to outsmart Vaibhav with slower deliveries early in their innings to stem his flow of attack as they prepare to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday (April 13) in Match 21 of IPL 2026 in Hyderabad.
Baba shares a strategy on how to keep Vaibhav under control
On Monday, taking to his social media account
Vaibhav sooryavanshi is a once in a generation talent. I’m really enjoying the way he bats and even more so the swing of the bat. A possible way to cut that hanging swing of the bat would be to dip it more slowly from the beginning (maybe even the first ball) to break up the downward swing of the bat.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi eyes all-time T20 record in SRH-RR clash
Meanwhile, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is now on the verge of achieving a big milestone in the IPL. The 15-year-old has been in excellent form and is now just one big hit away from making history. The young sensation has a golden opportunity to equal a record that has not been touched for almost two decades in T20 cricket during the SRH vs RR clash in Hyderabad on Monday.
Sooryavanshi has already scored 901 runs in just 22 innings and only needs 99 more runs to level the record of fastest 1000 runs in the history of T20 cricket. The in-form batsman can achieve this feat today as SRH’s bowling attack so far has been weak and beaten by all teams.
This record has not been touched since 2008 and is currently shared by Australian batsmen Brad Hodge and Shaun Marsh, who reached 1000 runs in 23 innings. Hodge first set the milestone in 2006, while Marsh later equaled it in 2008.
