Great escape! Rajat Patidar reveals BCCI’s IPL 2026 plan without approval

RCB captain Rajat Patidar made a shocking statement in which he almost seemed certain that the IPL 2026 final would be played at his franchise’s home ground at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, and also seemed confident enough to be one of the teams that would enter the final.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team won the IPL 2026 title, ending their curse of over 18 seasons. However, despite his stellar form, his biggest drawback at the end of the season was the Chinnaswamy Stadium massacre at RCB’s victory parade.

Chinnaswamy has since been banned from hosting national and international matches as the commission investigating them revealed that the ground does not have the necessary provisions to qualify as a ground that accommodates so many spectators.

Has Rajat Patidar just confirmed the IPL 2026 venue?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Delhi Capitals at their M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Before the start of the match, RCB captain Rajat Patidar made a shocking statement while speaking after the end of the toss.

Rajat Patidar claimed that they will host the 2026 IPL finals; However, no such confirmation has yet come from the BCCI’s IPL governing committee. However, as per IPL rules, the defending champions can host the final match of the next season; However, confirmation was missing after the unforgettable mismanagement at this venue.

“Of course, there was a lot of planning behind it. And as you know, this year we have a final in Chinnaswamy, so we have to win every home match,” said the defending team captain.

The Chinnaswamy was also about to host India Women’s World Cup matches, including some playoffs, and would have also hosted India’s Men’s T20 World Cup matches had it not been for that victory parade mishap.
