Indian batsman Hanuma Vihari will play for Madhya Pradesh in the domestic circuit. He finally parted ways with the Andhra Cricket Association after the state board gave him the NOC to play for some other national cricket team.
Hanuma Vihari had some issues with the Andhra Cricket Association and the issue was one of the most talked about topics in Indian domestic cricket. The senior batsman had some problems with a young player, who had political influence and even the board was against him.
Later, Hanuma Vihari expressed his desire to play in some other state. He asked for the NOC, but the Andhra cricket association did not grant it to him and now, after six months, he was allowed to play for Madhya Pradesh and will play for the new team.
MPCA Secretary Sanjeev Rao spoke about the same and confirmed that Hanuma Vihari will play for Madhya Pradesh. He noted that the batter will be submitting his papers to the association, and they will register him. Speaking to News 18, he explained:
“Yes, he will play for the MPCA next season. There was some delay in your NOC from ACA but I heard you already received it. So the moment you submit the paperwork, there will be no obstacles.”
MPCA secretary Sanjeev Rao admitted that Hanuma Vihari has been in talks with Madhya Pradesh since last season and also approached coach Chandrakant Pandit. While talking about signing him, Rao stated that Vihari would be an asset to the team. He added:
“There were talks last season too and we are happy to have him here. He approached Chandu sir after last season and expressed his desire to play for MPCA. He is a senior cricketer and he will be an asset to any team.”
Too early to confirm but it will be considered: MPCA secretary Sanjeev Rao on consideration of Hanuma Vihari as captain.
MPCA secretary Sanjeev also spoke about the possibility of handing over the leadership to Hanuma Vihari. He stated that the decision would be taken after discussions with the coach and the selectors. He added:
“It is too early to confirm it, but it will be considered and will be very present in the mix. Discussions will be held with Chandrakant Pandit and the selectors and only then everything will be done. So I can’t confirm it at this time, but I can say that it will be very present in the mix.”
The secretary also spoke about Kuldeep Sen, who returned to MPCA after moving to Tamil Nadu last season, stating that the fast bowler has submitted his papers. He added:
“Kuldeep has returned and has already submitted his papers. As far as Kulwant is concerned, the selection panel will evaluate his performance and then take a decision based on the team composition and combination that coach Pandit and the selectors want. So let’s see. But Kuldeep and Hanuma are confirmed as of now.“he admitted.
