Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has made his predictions for the finalists of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. According to the legendary bowler, the Rohit Sharma-led team will win the tournament and along with them, Afghanistan will be the finalists.

The T20 World Cup 2024 has come to an end. After the exciting league and the Super 8 stage, we have the four semi-finalists of the tournament. India, England, Afghanistan and South Africa are the only teams left in the event and the day after tomorrow there will only be two, as both semi-finals are just around the corner.

In the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024, South Africa will face Afghanistan. The match between the teams will take place at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad, on Thursday (June 27). Both teams have been sensational in the tournament at the league stage and at the Super 8 stage and it promises to be an exciting competition.

South Africa are unbeaten so far in the T20 World Cup 2024. They have won all their matches quite comfortably and would be very confident. Afghanistan, on the other hand, have beaten teams like New Zealand and Australia to earn their place in the semi-finals and would be keen to take a step forward.

In the second semi-final, India will face England. The match between the Rohit Sharma-led team and the defending champions is scheduled for Thursday (June 27) at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

India are also unbeaten in the tournament and have played sensational cricket and dominated the league stage. They have delivered with both bat and ball and have looked a class apart in the tournament so far.

England are also in top form. They were under pressure at the beginning of the tournament, but after that they didn’t look back. The team led by Jos Buttler came into form at the right time and would now be eager to defend their title. They are the defending champions and with the way they have played, they would be sure to win their second consecutive title.

With the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 just around the corner, former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh was asked a couple of questions while travelling. The former player was asked about India’s chances of winning the semi-final. Responding to this, he backed the Rohit Sharma-led team to win the title. In a video shared by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, he stated:

“Jeetega bhai, India pakka jeetega (India will surely win).”

Harbhajan Singh was also asked about the chances of the Afghanistan team, to which he stated that the Rashid Khan-led team will beat South Africa and play in the final. He stated:

“Mujhe lagta hai woh bhi final me aayega (I think even they will reach the final).”
