“I can confirm that I have made the difficult decision not to play in the upcoming IPL. I was very excited to be picked by Delhi Capitals and was looking forward to joining everyone. “I lost my grandmother last month; She was a rock for me and I spent much of my childhood in her house; My attitude towards life and my love for cricket were shaped by her and my late grandfather. So while this may be surprising to some, I know it’s the right decision for me. “I am young and I hope to have many, many more years of cricket to come and I intend to make the most of them.”
