Gujarat Titans acquired the player for INR 12.25 million rupees at the Mega Mega 2025 auction.
The Indian sailor Mohammed Siraj has opened about his time that happened with the Bengaluru (RCB) team of Royal Challengantes in an interview with Ani. He acknowledged that the former RCB and India captain has had a very important role in his success. He was the one who held Siraj before the Premier League (IPL) auction of India, even after his thin patch in consecutive seasons during 2018-19.
“To be honest, Virat Kohli has a huge hand in my career. He has backed me in my bad weather, 2018 and 2019, he supported me, even retained me, and after that, my performance and my graphic rose. It has been very supportive,” he said.
The 31 -year -old also revealed that it was difficult for him to leave RCB after a period of seven years since 2018. Although, he hopes to face his former team in the attire of Gujarat Titans (GT).
“It has been very emotional for me to leave RCB. Let’s see what happens when I come against RCB. The game is April 2,” he said that the new recruit of Gujarat Titans.

Siraj was the third highest WICKET player in the franchise. He climbed 83 WICKETS in 87 games at an average of 31.45. After a brilliant season in 2023, where the sailor pocketed 19 WICKETS in 14 games at an economic rate of 7.50, RCB could not qualify for the play-offs. However, after a seven -game losing streak, the team made a big change to win six in a trot to reach the playoffs last season. But, they stumbled upon the eliminator against Rajasthan Reales.
SIRAJ joins Gujarat Titans after leaving RCB
The 2022 IPL champions, Gujarat Titans, acquired the services of Siraj for this season after its launch of the RCB. While talking about how it feels to be part of this new team, the bowling player replied that his training with the rhythm bowling team is going well. He also mentioned that he is happy to be in the Gujarat Titans camp.
“My training is going very well with all the pacemakers of my team, and our bowling unit knows how to plan and execute. I feel very pleasant training with all of them, teammates, and especially being here in Gujarat Titans,” said the bowling player.
The GT, led by Shubman Gill, ended eighth in the points table last season. They will seek to recover in this edition while the team begins their trip against Punjab Kings led by Shreyas Iyer on March 25.
