Jaiswal scored a brilliant double century in the first innings of the match and played 209 innings off 290 balls. Jaiswal never felt uncomfortable with his shot selection and played some glorious knocks during his stay in the crease.
While speaking to Jio Cinema, Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke about the chat she had with her cricket idol and Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar. Jaiswal said that he spoke to Sachin after his iconic knock. Jaiswal said that Sachin congratulated him and suggested that he keep working hard as this is a very important moment. Jaiswal added that he continues to admire Sachin Tendulkar as his idol.

No other Indian batsman apart from Yashasvi Jaiswal was able to showcase his batting talent at the crease in the first innings. Each batsman came out scoring between 20 and 40 runs and was dismissed cheaply. Most of India’s first innings total of 396 runs came from Jaiswal’s bat, otherwise the team would have managed less than 250 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played the best innings of his international career so far and never hesitates to play big shots. Jaiswal likes to play aggressively and is one of the best young batsmen at the moment. Jaiswal will hope to continue doing the same in the upcoming games and also become the reason behind India’s victory.
