The growth of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has been amazing. The duo started as youngsters in 2007-08 and 15 years later, they are ranked as two of the best batsmen in world cricket. What they have achieved over the years is incredible and there is almost no record book that does not include the duo’s name.

Virat Kohli spoke about his 15-year journey in cricket and stated that he, along with Rohit Sharma, always tells youngsters to recognize the platform they are getting and respect the moment in which they play. Speaking during the Asian Paints event, he stated:

“So today if someone asks me how you’ve played for 15 years, I don’t feel like it’s been 15 years because your perspective was on day one, seeing this as an opportunity, it’s there even today. As soon as you open it, the tab will stay there.

“That’s how we’ve grown. That’s what we discuss and tell young people to recognize the platform and the opportunity they’re having and fully respect it, wherever they play.”
