Rinku Singh finally broke his silence on his IPL salary. The left-handed batsman receives Rs 55 lakh as salary from Kolkata Knight Riders.

Many believe that the salary is very low for a player of Rinku Singh’s caliber. The left-hander is one of the most sought after T20 players in the country but the IPL salary of him is very low compared to other big names who earn crores of rupees. Even several uncapped players have multi-million dollar contracts from their IPL franchises.

As expected, Rinku Singh’s IPL salary becomes a major topic of conversation from time to time. However, the KKR star herself has no problem with his salary as she said that she is very satisfied with him. The Uttar Pradesh star pointed out his humble beginnings and said that even 55 lakhs is a very substantial amount for someone who was desperate to earn Rs 5-10 as a child.

“Even Rs 50-55 lakh is a lot. When I started, I didn’t even think that I would earn so much. At that time, as a child, I felt that if I could earn even Rs 10-5, I would do it somehow. Now get 55 Lakh rupees is a lot, one should be content with whatever God gives him. This is my thought.

“I don’t feel at all that I should have received so much money and so much. I am very happy even with Rs 55 lakh. When this didn’t happen, it came to light how much money he is worth,” Rinku Singh told Dainik. Jagran.

Rinku Singh on his World Cup snub:

Rinku Singh also spoke about his World Cup snub. The selectors gave a big surprise by not naming him in the main team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, although he is one of the reserves. After the team was announced, Rinku met captain Rohit Sharma and revealed the conversation he had with the captain.

The star batsman admitted he was sad about the snub despite performing well before saying he is not thinking too much about something that is not under his control.

“Yes, anyone feels a little sad if they are not selected despite a good performance. However, this time the selection could not be carried out due to the combination of teams. Whatever happens, one should not think too much about what It’s not in your hands. Yes, at first I was a little worried.

“It’s okay, whatever happens. Whatever happens, it will happen only forever. Rohit bhaiya didn’t say anything special. All he said was to keep working hard. There is a World Cup again after two years. There is no need to worry more. That’s all he told me,” Rinku added.
