Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar made history by becoming the fastest centurion for his side in ODIs. The all-rounder accomplished the feat in the ongoing ICC World Cup qualifying game against the Netherlands and guided his team to victory in the all-important clash.

Sikandar Raza turned the game around in the chase and played magnificent innings. While chasing the target of 315 runs, Zimbabwe lost three quick wickets and trailed at 162/3. But the arrival of the SUV at the fold changed things drastically.

Sikandar Raza came out with all guns blazing and was gone from the get go. He crushed Dutch bowlers all over the park and tipped the game in his team’s favor. The versatile man scored 84 runs in partnership with Sean Williams (91) and rescued his team from trouble.

But after Sean Williams’ wicket, Sikandar Raza took responsibility and played amazingly well. He closed out a century on 54 balls and brought his team home. The right-hander finished with the 104-run hit, smashing 6 fours and 8 sixes.

ICC World Cup 2023: Sikandar Raza takes the ball in four wickets

Not just with the bat, but Sikandar Raza was also the main demolisher for his side with the ball. He stepped in with the crucial fourth wicket and ensured they restricted the Netherlands to a total of less than 320.

Sikandar Raza returned with figures of 4/55 from his 10 overs and went on to win the game for his side with the bat. This was Zimbabwe’s second consecutive victory in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers and they are now sitting at the top of the Group A points table.
