Akash Chopraa former Indian opener, believes that the World Test Championship (WTC) should not have a championship match if a three match series is not possible.
The first two WTC finals were one-game contests, and a one-game title fight is also planned for the third cycle. Following the WTC final that just ended, Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma expressed opposing views, with the Australian captain voting for a single game and the Indian captain calling for a three-match series.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Chopra expressed his opinion that if a three-game series cannot be played in the championship, the best team in the league should be crowned the winner:
“If you have a tournament for two years, a tournament that lasts two years, it takes two years to have a world event, if this is the actual format, then do it in three games. People say, with all due respect, that it can’t happen. Why can’t it happen? Don’t play if it can’t happen.”

“Keep your ear out either way, the final should be a three game series. If you don’t have 25 days, give the test mace to whoever wins the league phase just like you did before, he was with India for a long time.” Aakash Chopra added.

“A home game for each team”- Aakash Chopra
Former India opener Aakash Chopra stated that the WTC final can be arranged as a three-game series, with the team that wins the league phase getting home advantage.
“I’ll give you some ideas. Have it as home games for the team that tops the league phase, as you should gain some advantage from ranking No. 1. Secondly, you could have one home game for each team and one game at a neutral venue.” . Aakash Chopra said.
“Logistically I’m not worried right now. I’m thinking why do you need to play eight-nine matches as a round robin league in ODI tournament but you do, and after that you also play semi-finals and finals. So play three games here too.”Aakash Chopra added.
